Big White Ski Resort Postpones Opening Day

Big White Ski Resort is joining many, many other North American ski areas in delaying the start of their ski season. Originally scheduled for November 27th, the resort’s opening day has been pushed by to some point next week.

At this point Big White is waiting for more snow to fall on the slopes. According to the video they need closer to 50cm before opening. Right now, their website reports a base depth of 24cm.

While opening day isn’t this week, there’s still plenty of activities on the calendar for those in the area. The winter season festive kickoff is scheduled for November 29th starting at 5pm and will feature an enchanting market, unique vendors,  two spectacular fire shows at 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm, and much more.
