Jackson Hole Celebrates 60 Years By Looking Millions Of Years Into The Past

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. That’s 60 years of hard work and development that’ve managed to develop a culture and community focused around skiing hard and pushing the boundaries. But before those people came around, before any human was around, work was still ongoing.
To celebrate 60 years of operation, Jackson Hole took a look at the near 9-million-year-old saga that built the mountain and its surrounding range, focusing on the geologic and tectonic wonders of the area.

Jackson Hole’s 60th season is set to kick off on Friday, November 28th, with lifts spinning from 9am-4pm. On Friday, December 5th, the ski resort is offering $35 lift tickets and 50% off rentals for those rocking their favorite pair of jeans to celebrate Ski in Jeans Day.
