Vail Resorts Gets New Corporate Leader From Lululemon
Vail Resorts has announced that Celeste Burgoyne, a corporate leader at the active wear brand lululemon, will join the ski resort company as the executive vice president and chief revenue officer.
Burgoyne now serves as lululemon’s president of the Americas and global guest innovation.
In that role, according to a release shared by Vail Resorts, she oversees customer-facing parts of lululemon’s North American business. The release added that Burgoyne is directly responsible for over $7.5 billion in revenue, and joined lululemon in 2006, working in several leadership positions over the decades.
Her time at lululemon ends in December 2025. She’ll start with Vail Resorts in January 2026.

In a comment reported by Retail Dive, Tom Nikic, an analyst at the investment firm Needham, said many viewed Burgoyne as one of the key architects of lululemon’s ascendance.
Women’s Wear Dailyreported that when she started with lululemon, the company did $149 million in annual sales. Last year, the now-ubiquitous brand generated over $10 billion in annual revenue. Rob Katz, Vail Resort’s chief executive officer and chairperson, said his company is “thrilled to welcome Celeste.”
He said her “deep appreciation for the connection between brand, guest experience, and revenue will be critical as we continue to reimagine how we connect with our guests, reignite our resort brands, and accelerate growth in both lift revenue and our ancillary lines of business.”
Burgoyne called it an honor to join Vail Resorts. “I have spent countless days enjoying Whistler Blackcomb, in both the summer and winter, so I know firsthand what the Company’s mission of Experience of a Lifetime means to skiers, snowboarders, and all their guests,” she said in the release.
“I look forward to being a part of the Vail Resorts team and this next phase of growth and transformation,” Burgoyne added.
According to Vail Resorts’ documentation, Burgoyne will receive an initial base salary of $900,000, a one-time sign-on cash bonus of $700,000, and other forms of compensation in her new role.
Burgoyne’s arrival follows the reinstatement of Katz as Vail Resort’s CEO last May. He previously held the position from 2006 to 2021.
