Chris Benchetler Releases Highly Anticipated 'Mountains of the Moon' Trailer
After months of behind-the-scene teases and special edition collabs (like those limited edition Bent 110s!), Chris Benchetler has finally released the trailer for his new film, Mountains of the Moon. Yes, it’s just a trailer, but trust us when we say it definitely gets us stoked to see the film.
In the simplest form, Mountains of the Moon is a multidisciplinary action sports film, backed by the music of the Grateful Dead. However, (unsurprisingly), Benchetler describes it best saying that ‘Through painting, skiing, filmmaking, and writing, I try to communicate what can’t be said — layering light, shadow, color, composition, emotion, and experiences all into something that feels true,’ in his social media post of the trailer.
You can watch the full trailer below (which is arguably much better than me trying to describe it)

The full film will be released with a week-long premiere event in Los Angeles on November 15, 2025, that will also include a museum-style exhibit on the film’s making, a light-based installation where illuminated objects from the film are the light source, a life-size recreation of Benchetler’s art studio, and an LED sculpture garden.
Select tour stops will also feature the installations that accompany the film. A digital rollout of the film is planned for early 2026.
