Lindsey Vonn Tells Jimmy Fallon "I Proved Everyone Wrong" on The Tonight Show
Skiing’s comeback queen, Lindsey Vonn, has made a return not just to the slopes, but to NBC Studios for an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Vonn joined the late night talk show on October 27, 2025, to chat about her Olympic return and more.
The ever-composed alpine racer joked with Fallon about his own ski technique and her last appearance on the show, which was prior to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics. Fallon then revealed the cover of the latest TIME Magazine to Vonn, the cover of which boasts a portrait of the skier looking into the distance with a pair of skis slung over her shoulder and the words “Her Comeback” splashed across the photo.
Vonn, now 41, broke the record for the oldest Olympic medalist, at age 33. Now, Vonn returns with a not-so-secret weapon; her partially-replaced titanium knee.
“I think some people were a little bit skeptical of my comeback,” she told Fallon. “When I got my silver medal at the last World Cup, it was like the Olympics for me because I felt like I did it for myself. I knew I could do it, but so many people said I couldn’t, but I proved everyone wrong and proved to myself I could,” continued Vonn, as the audience erupted into cheers.

Vonn and Fallon touch on other significant facets of her life such as the adorable puppy she adopted after her longtime canine companion, Lucy, passed away.
Vonn’s new dog came into her life seemingly by chance, which is also the pup’s name. Chance the King Charles Spaniel will accompany Vonn on the road throughout her winter season and rack up his own fair share of passport stamps.
The athletes representing Team USA for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics still haven’t officially been announced as skiers still must qualify through early season races.
Vonn, however, is most certainly a crowd favorite and has been hard at work training during the off-season. You can find more coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games from POWDER’s own Brian Pinelli.
