Like Ski Movies? Salt Lake City Is Hosting 5 World-Class Premieres This Weekend

It’s no secret that Salt Lake City is a mecca for skiers, with world class resorts like Alta, Snowbird, Solitude, Park City, and more just up the road.

While flakes have definitely started to fall in the Wasatch, it’s not quite ski season yet, but there is plenty of early season stoke to be had. This weekend in particular, a whole slew of ski film premiers are making their way to Salt Lake City. If you happen to be in the area, clear your calendar, you won’t want to miss these films. Thursday with IKON Pass, Friday with Warren Miller, Saturday with Armada Skis, and Sunday at PowTown Revival? Twist my arm.

Here’s a roundup of all the best ski films hitting the Salt Lake area this weekend so you can plan ahead, and maybe come away with a signed poster.

1. ORNADA

When: Saturday, October 25, 2025
Location: The Depot

The world premiere of Armada skis’ two-year project featuring their entire athlete team is going down at The Depot in Salt Lake City on Saturday, October 25. If a film from some of the best skiers in the industry wasn’t enough, it will be live scored by a band at five of the premiers, including the Salt Lake City stop.

More than a few of the athletes will be there as well for poster signings and a meet and greet. ORNADA is sure to be one of the coolest ski film experiences of the year, you definitely don’t want to miss this one. Tickets available at armadaskis.com.

2. Warren Miller’s Sno-Ciety

When: October 24-25, 2025
Location: October 24 at Cache Arts in Logan. October 25 at The Ray in Park City.

Warren Miller’s 76th annual film, Sno-Ciety, is hitting the Salt Lake area this weekend. The film is showing on October 24 in Logan, UT at Cache Arts and on October 25 in Park City, UT at the Ray. Catch athletes like Daron Rhalves, Britta Winans, Breezy Johnson, Chris Rubens, and more in another year of Warren Miller’s legendary annual stoke-fests. Tickets available at warrenmiller.com.

3. Freeride Film Tour

When:b Friday, October 24, 2025
Location: Brewvies Cinema Pub, Salt Lake City

The Pangea Collective’s Freeride Film Tour is hitting Salt Lake City on Friday, October 24 for a night of brews, ski films, gear giveaways, and the chance to meet some of your favorite athletes at Brewvies Cinema Pub. You’ll be able to catch films from athletes like Ross Tester, Holden Samuels, Taylor Dobyns, and more. Freeride World Tour fans especially won’t want to miss this one, as several films center around the athletes competing on the tour. Tickets are available at pangea-collective.com.

4. PowTown Revival

When: Sunday, October 26, 2025
Location: Fisher Brewing, Salt Lake City

Amie Engerbretson and Todd Ligare’s PowTown Revival tour is back in Salt Lake on Sunday, October 26 at Fisher Brewing. Engerbretson and Ligare originally created the tour in an effort to get folks to watch ski movies on a big screen and not just on their phones. The tour has returned year after year to show shorts from top-tier athletes in fun, brewery settings. This year, you can catch films from Sammy Carlson, Parkin Costain, Karl Fostvedt, McKenna Peterson, Wiley Miller, and Engerbretson herself. Admission is free!

5. IKON Pass Campus Film Tour

When: Thursday, October 23, 2025 (tonight!)
Location: The Depot

IKON Pass is celebrating up and coming skiers who balance college commitments and filmmaking. On Thursday, October 23, catch the IKON Pass Campus Film Tour, with films from non-profit organization, the Dean’s List, at the Depot in Salt Lake for a sweet lineup of ski films, lots of merch giveaways, and a good time. The headline film played will be “Connected” by Caution MEdia, which follows a group balancing their senior year at Colorado College with skiing across North America. Tickets available here.
