Teaser for Green Light, Peaks and Passages.

Green Light—November 4, 2025

The first episode of Peaks and Passages, Green Light, introduces Sam Simonds, a Breckenridge, Colorado, ski patroller and tune shop owner. The titular shop, Green Light, is more than a place for skiers and snowboarders to get their equipment ready for the season. It also serves as a gathering and community hub, helping Breck’s patrollers unwind and recharge after stressful days on the mountain.

“Some people complain that ski culture is going away, but ski culture is very much alive here and Green Light contributes to that ski culture and that gets people excited,” said Simonds, in the episode.

Teaser for Friends of Berthoud, Peaksand Passages

Friends of Berthoud—November 18, 2025

Just outside Denver, Colorado, stands Berthoud Pass. Once, the mountains there were home to a ski area, but in 2003, it closed permanently. Since then, Berthoud Pass has blossomed into an easily accessible backcountry skiing and snowboarding hotspot.

It’s also home to the organization Friends of Berthoud Pass, a non-profit that hosts avalanche safety clinics and works to preserve backcountry access in the area. Episode two of Peaks and Passages highlights the non-profit and, thanks to a few bottomless powder riding shots, makes a strong case for Berthoud Pass’ inclusion on your skiing bucket list.

VNTRbirds—December 2, 2025

In the final episode of Peaks and Passages, we meet Kelley and Leanne Wren, two sisters who run VNTRbirds, an adventure company aimed at making the outdoors more accessible for women and femme-identifying people. Together, the Wrens host hut trips, avalanche courses, mountain biking clinics, and more. In Peaks and Passages, they tell the story of how VNTRbirds came to be.
