First Snow Falls in North America
The temperatures have fallen in Colorado and the snow guns have been fired up as the annual battle to be first to open gets underway.
Arapahoe Basin and Loveland are going head to head.
Elsewhere snow has been falling in Jackson Hole in Wyoming.
This year Jackson Hole is celebrating 60 years since it opened:
In Canada snow has been falling in Sunshine Village near Banff in Alberta.
The resorts around Banff have named the proposed dates for their opening:
- Mt. Norquay:  November 1st, 2025
- Banff Sunshine:Â November 7th, 2025
- Lake Louise Ski Resort:Â November 7th, 2025
