Jackson Hole Extends Summer Activities—Here's What’s Still Open
Winter may have already arrived at numerous ski resorts out West, but at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, summer’s going to last a little longer.
The ski resort announced earlier this month that parts of its summer operations will continue from October 6 to October 12, 2025, thanks to an extension.
During that time, the Bridger Gondola will be open for sightseeing, hiking, and access to restroom facilities at Rendezvous Lodge every day between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., except Wednesday, October 8, 2025, when an International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR) event is scheduled.
The Aerial Tram remains closed for planned maintenance and inspections, but the Tram Dock restaurant at the Tram’s base will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Via Ferrata and paragliding are available, too. The bike park remains closed for the season.
Throughout the extended opening hours, Jackson Hole’s ticket windows will be staffed. Sightseeing tickets can also be purchased online.
“We’re happy to extend these summer hours, and we look forward to our guests including a trip to Teton Village as part of their experience in the Tetons,” said Ned Wonson, Vice President of Marketing at Jackson Hole, in a press release.

Beyond the summer season extension, Jackson Hole plans to open for skiing and riding on November 28, 2025, marking the start of its 60th anniversary winter.
In celebration of the milestone, Jackson Hole is selling steeply discounted $60 tickets on December 19, the same day that it opened in 1965. The comparatively cheap tickets are one of the most affordable ways to ride the resort this winter—on other dates in December, they cost $200 or more.
December 19, 2025, also includes live music and a retro costume party honoring Jackson Hole’s birthday. Additional events, like Ski in Jeans day and the famous huck fest Kings and Queens of Corbet’s, are returning for the 2025-26 season, according to Jackson Hole’s website.
In not too long, Jackson Hole’s slopes will be white again. For the time being, though, the ski resort is focused on warm-weather activities like hiking and sightseeing.
