World Record Attempt for Skiing Indoors

He will be making the attempt at the Snow World Bispingen indoor ski area in Germany next Tuesday.

He already holds numerous ski records:

Oliver Kern will start his record attempt at midnight.

Thanks to planning and the support of the SnowWorld Bispingen team, he hopes to complete at least 22,000m of altitude difference.

The SnowDome Bispingen indoor ski area is located south of Hamburg in the Lüneburg Heath.

It is providing its lift facilities and a dedicated team of helpers and technicians for this world record attempt to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Bispingen is home to the world’s only detachable six-seater chairlift in an indoor ski centre.

SnowWorld Bispingen attracts numerous skiers and snowboarders from all over the world, who can enjoy perfectly groomed slopes 365 days a year.

In April 2025, Kern visited his 1,000th different ski resort and has now skied in 35 countries on six continents.

He also set a record by riding over 8,400 ski lifts and cable cars.

In the course of his career, he founded Skiresort.info, the world’s largest test portal for ski resorts, in 1998, wrote over 500 test reports based on 18 criteria, and collected over 25,000 ski passes.
