Taos Ski Valley Is Once Again Offering Season Passes To Bootpacking Volunteers
If you’re looking to earn yourself a free 2025-2026 season ski pass, Taos Ski Valley has got you covered. It isn’t an easy process, requiring some volunteer time with their bootpacking program, but it’s pretty sweet.
Taos enlists ski patrollers, ski instructors, mountain employees, and volunteers to complete their bootpacking. By having a crowd of people walk their way down the snow-covered slopes, Taos can pack in a snowpack’s base layer. This helps solidify and preserve the snow while also reducing avalanche risk later in the season.
