Copper Mountain Turns On Snowguns Ahead of November 7th Opening Day

We seen a bunch of ski resort doing systems checks on their snowmaking systems in the past few weeks but Copper Mountain in Colorado is the first to fire them up for real for the 2025/2026 winter season.

It’s still over month before Copper’s scheduled opening day of Friday, November 7th but if temperatures permit, its never too early to start working on the base. If you plan on heading to Copper for their winter kickoff, you can look forward to having free hot chocolate and coffee, power bars from the Copper Bark Shop, YETI giveaways for the first 50 skiers and riders in the American Eagle lift line, and DJs pumping out the jams in Eagle’s Landing and the Aerie patio. Let the countdown begin!

“Winter’s coming and the snow guns are live! Our snowmaking team is cranking, temps are dropping and stoke is climbing. Think you’re ready to own Opening Day on November 7?” -Copper Mountain
