Here's When the Northeast's Ski Resorts Plan To Open in 2025

Colorado might hoover up all the early ski season attention, but it isn’t the only place in North America with resorts dedicated to getting skiers on snow as soon as possible.

In the Northeast, mountains like Killington, Sunday River, and others are known for massive snowmaking pushes that help hasten the arrival of winter. Sunday River, for instance, first opened on Halloween last year.

What about the 2025-26 season, though? You’re in the right place. These are the opening dates for major mountains across the Northeast that have been announced so far. As always, remember that ski resorts may have to change their opening dates based on the weather.

These dates will be checked and updated weekly.States listed in alphabetical order. Only major ski areas/resorts have been considered for this list. Please reach out to POWDER if you’d like for your home ski area to be included.
