Burke Mountain, Vermont Pays Homage To Original Logo With Rebrand

Ahead of the 2025/26 ski season, Burke Mountain’s branding has gotten a little *glow up.*

The Vermont mountain was purchased in May of 2025, following a 9-year stint in a court appointment receivership. Ownership of the ski area was scooped up by a group of angel investors called Bear Den Partners, all with deep ties to Burke Mountain.

Between the Graham family, who are lifelong Burke skiers and the Schaefer family, who have been involved with the ownership and operation of New England ski areas since 1976, there’s more than 100 years of Burke Mountain recreation amongst Bear Den Partners.

Amongst other changes, such as a rebuild of the snowmaking system and lift infrastructure updates, Burke Mountain wanted to make a forward facing change to represent a new chapter. The ski area recently rolled out a new logo that on the surface, may be just a new design, but represented something deeper about the mountain and where it’s headed.

The new logo features a bear as both an homage to the new ownership group, and as a symbol to Burke’s history and old ‘mascot,’ Burkie the Bear. See below.

“Since 1956, Burke has been about more than skiing and riding. It’s about families learning to ski together, BMA (Burke Mountain Academy) racers chasing their dreams, and locals who call this mountain home. Every logo has told part of that story. Our new one brings it all together with a nod to our history and a clear step forward,” said a representative for the mountain in a statement to POWDER.

While Burke Mountain may have a shiny, new logo, skiing this Northeast Kingdom gem will still offer the same honest, unpolished, skiing experience that’s made folks feel so at home at the mountain.
