Ikon Pass Adds 3 Surprising Ski Resorts, Prices Increase Soon
As the ski season approaches, the Ikon Pass has announced the addition of three new “bonus mountains” to its roster—SilverStar Mountain Resort and Grouse Mountain, British Columbia; and Ski Butternut, Massachusetts—alongside the last date before pass prices increase: October 9, 2025.
The Ikon Pass and the more limited Ikon Base Pass now cost $1,429 and $1,009, respectively. In a press release, the Ikon Pass didn’t say how much the price would increase in October.
The three new resorts join four ski areas that are already part of the bonus mountain program: Wild Mountain and Buck Hill Ski & Snowboard Area, Minnesota; Cranmore Mountain Resort, New Hampshire; and Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, Massachusetts.
At the bonus mountains, Ikon Pass holders get two free days of skiing each, similar to the Mountain Collective or Indy Pass. The program isn’t available to Ikon Base Pass or Session Pass holders.

With 3,282 skiable acres, SilverStar Mountain Resort is one of British Columbia’s larger ski resorts.
Located just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, Grouse Mountain offers views of the metropolitan skyline. The small Ski Butternut serves skiers and snowboarders in southwest Massachusetts.
Ahead of the 2025-26 season, the Ikon Pass has also expanded with access to Le Massif de Charlevoix, Quebec, and Ischgl, Austria (Ikon Pass holders get seven days at each mountain). More recently, five ski areas in Italy’s Valle d’Aosta joined the Ikon Pass, with seven total shared days.
Across its mountain roster, 17 new chairlifts have been added to the Ikon Pass this summer. The largest expansion is taking place at Deer Valley Resort, Utah, which is set to debut seven new chairlifts, doubling its terrain footprint as part of the massive Expanded Excellence project.
Several ski resorts on the Ikon Pass are expected to open in early November, including Mammoth Mountain, California; Solitude Mountain Resort, Utah; and Copper Mountain, Colorado.
Prices for the Ikon Pass’s main competitor, the Epic Pass, will increase just before, on October 8. It now costs $1,097.
