Three Promising Young GB Skiers Need Your Help
Team Carrick-Smith is preparing for yet another big season with the very real prospect of competing at World Cup level.
Their journey began about 12 years ago and they are now in the top 100 in the world.
The reality of dipping their toes into the big stage has become very real.
“This summer has seen us train on Glaciers around Europe starting with Les Deux Alpes in June and we are currently on our 2nd camp in Saas Fee, Switzerland,” said Team Carrick-Smith.
“We have an indoor slalom camp with a huge amount of training volume coming up in Belgium and Germany at the end of this month.”
All this comes at a cost.
“We really need your help to fund our Autumn training in both Solden, Austria where the World Cup opener takes place and then Finland and Sweden where the first World Cup Slalom and Europa Cups are.
“It’s imperative that we have the same opportunities to train as our international competitors but this of course comes at a large expense.
“We are currently a 100% self-funded team hence your support means everything to us and we are so incredibly grateful to everyone who is part of this journey.
“We truly cannot do it without you.”
They have so far raised £3,700 towards their target of £30,000.
