Hotdog Hans' Next Ski Battle Is Against Tanner Hall and Jonny Moseley (Trailer)
Hotdog Hans, the beloved, cantankerous, wise-cracking elderly skier played by halfpipe Olympian Alex Ferreira, is back. In his sixth video outing, he’s set to face off against legendary skiers Tanner Hall and Jonny Moseley in an ultimate hotdoggin’ throwdown.
For now, all we have is a 40-second tease of the match-up, but if the full episode is anything like Hotdog Hans’ previous work, we’re in for a treat—and plenty of memorable one-liners.

More on Hot Dog Hans/Alex Ferreira
With Hotdog Hans, Ferreira struck a chord. His first video, released a few years ago, racked up almost half a million views, with fans clamoring for more Hans.
The formula’s appeal is simple. Ferreira—one of the best freestyle skiers on Earth—uses a mask to fool skiers into believing that he’s an old man with a bad attitude and a penchant for booze. Then, he drops into the terrain park, throws a double cork, and smashes those expectations. Disbelief typically follows. Most recently, Hotdog Hans visited the Swiss Alps, hassling people on the cable car and shredding the Nines course (see below).
“The way I view it is that Alex is the nice guy. He’s a great skier, he’s a good person—and Hans is this bad boy animal. This crazy person. He’s my alter ego,” Ferreira told the outerwear brand Columbia in an interview.
Ferreira, for his part, is preparing for an appearance at the upcoming Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics in 2026. He’s already qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team and, last winter, podiumed at or won every World Cup halfpipe competition he entered. He also has a bronze and a silver Olympic medal.
Ferreira’s rivals in the sixth episode of Hotdog Hans have plenty of clout, too. Hall is one of freeskiing’s best-known standard bearers. Moseley, a mogul skiing Olympic gold medalist, took skiing to new heights when he launched his famous off-axis Dinner Roll at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games.
Hotdog Hans, then, has his work cut out for him. May the best hotdogger win.
