British Guy Tries To Guess What Rocky Mountain Slang Really Means

British guy tries to guess the meaning behind Rocky Mountain slang.

The Rocky Mountain region isn’t necessarily an area known for its accents or weird slang, but every state has its own unique terms and these states are no different. From insulting nicknames for people from states outside the region (or people from states inside the region) to bizarre names for foods, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana all have their own regionalisms. Lawrence with Lost in the Pond attempted to guess the meaning behind these slang terms.

Some of these terms seem like they’re slightly less than real or are very rarely said, but it’s still a fun video. For example, I’ve heard of “peak bagging” or “bagging peaks” in reference to checking off mountain hikes, but I’ve never heard a person being called a “peak bagger.” Others, like “gaper”, “flatlander” and “fourteener” absolutely do exist, and it’s pretty funny to see him struggle to figure out what they mean.
