FWT Taps Head and Tyrolia as Official Partners Through 2028
The Freeride World Tour (FWT) has partnered with the ski equipment brand HEAD through 2028. The announcement was made today, September 18, 2025 via press release.
The brand now serves as the FWT’s official supplier, with HEAD providing skis, ski boots, and poles for staff at all the Pro Tour stops. Tyrolia, which makes bindings and is owned by HEAD, is included in the partnership, too.
“We are very excited to welcome Head as a new partner of the Freeride World Tour. Head’s expertise, strong activation power, and the high-level quality of products are major assets to support the development of the FWT and ensure the excellence of the Tour,” said Nicolas Hale-Woods, FWT founder and CEO.
The three-year agreement starts in 2026 and includes the first-ever FIS Freeride World Tour Championships in Andorra, which Head and Tyrolia will participate in. The Championships are separate from the FWT’s usual roster of events.

“From grassroots riders to the pinnacle of freeride, we’re here to support the community. The FWT is the biggest stage in competitive freeriding and the perfect partner for us to work together towards this common goal,” said René Harrer, Head’s vice president.
Several FWT skiers are sponsored Head athletes, including Jenna Keller, Abel Moga, Lena Kohler, and Carl Regnér Eriksson.
The partnership comes ahead of a noteworthy season for the FWT.
The FIS Freeride World Tour Championships follow the 2022 acquisition of the FWT by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), the primary governing body for snowsports. Since then, the FWT has marched towards Olympic officialization, with freeride becoming an FIS discipline in 2024.
At the time, the FIS hinted that the goal was for the FWT to appear in the 2030 Winter Olympics.

The FWT is also set to return to Alaska this winter for the first time since 2017. While the circuit has held several recent stops in Canada at Kicking Horse, British Columbia, American fans and athletes haven’t had a home venue in almost a decade.
The FWT plans to release its complete calendar for the upcoming season next month, but previously teased that it’ll also visit Baqueira Beret, Val Thorens, Georgia, Fieberbrunn, and Verbier in 2026.
