Porsche Announces Partnerships with Major Ski Brands
Skiing and sports cars are as different as two things can be, but in some ways, they go well together. As the line between luxury, fashion, and the outdoor space seems to become blurrier and blurrier for many, it’s no shocker that sports car brands are sponsoring athletes, events, and making their way into the ski space day by day.
While we might still scratch our heads at other luxury brand/ski collabs, there’s something about a sports car/ski collab that just feels so right.
In particular, luxury sports car brand, Porsche, has announced a new partnership with Norwegian outerwear company, Nørrona ahead of winter 2025/26. The collaborative collection takes Norrøna’s existing men’s lofoten line and pairs it with Porche’s philosophy of ‘clean, functional designs driven by a pursuit of performance.’
The collection will feature an insulated, GORE-TEX shell jacket and pants, and a fleece jacket and have the same high-quality construction and “loaded minimalism” Nørrona’s existing product has come to be known for.

Porsche’s Vice President of Style, Michael Mauer, was an integral part of brining the collaboration to life. Mauer first discovered Nørrona’s outerwear while skiing in St. Mortiz. A freerider himself, Mauer was immediately impressed with the lofotencollection and his appreciation for the brand sparked a conversation between him and Nørrona owner, Jørgen Jørgenson. “This design philosophy drives us to create clean, functional products with all the essential details. I would humbly say that the Norrøna lofoten collection is our version of the Porsche 911,” said Jørgenson.
Nørrona isn’t the only ski brand adding a bit of sports car flair to their offerings this winter. In celebration of the 60th birthday of the Porsche 911 Targa, HEAD skis will release a series of skis & other gear that pay homage to the iconic vehicle. The skis are designed to emulate the Porsche 911’s spirit of freedom and translate it to the mountain.
The Porsche HEAD collection features two skis—the Series 7 and Series 8, and a series of accessories including a binding, two helmets, poles, ski bag, and goggles.
The Porsche Series 7 ski is a 70mm underfoot, Giant Slalom-inspired, high-performance ski designed to carve on groomers ‘like a sports car on a racetrack.’
The Series 8 combines an 88mm underfoot width with a wide tip and tail to make an all-mountain ski that carves equally well and can also be unleashed off-piste. Both skis feature HEAD’s Energy Management Circuit (EMC) technology in the front and back of the ski, which takes kinetic energy from the ski and transfers it to a Graphene carbon layer and resistor to dampen the ski and filter out chatter.
Both skis also feature the silhouette of the 911 Targa and its roll bar on the topsheet graphics.

Alongside the Series 7 & 8 skis, Porsche and HEAD will release the PROTECTOR PR 13 GW bindings, Porsche carbon ski poles, and Porsche ski bag as hard-goods additions. The brand collaboration also brings two helmets- the Porsche RADAR 5K PHOTO MIPS- a ski helmet with a photochromic visor that automatically adapts to lighting conditions, and the Porsche FAERO EXP MIPS, a helmet that uses the MIPS Integra TX system with a lightweight, low friction shell for maximum comfort and protection, as well as seamless eyewear integration.
Lastly are the collection’s Porsche NEVES SUNSCREEN goggles, which use an automatic solar-controlled lens tinting technology so you never have to switch lenses based on conditions.
Both collections launch in November 2025 and will be available at Porsche.com, at Porsche Design Stores, other specialist retailers, Nørrona retailers, and norrona.com.
