Looking To Buy One of the Best Pass Deals in Skiing? You Only Have a Few Days

The Indy Pass has announced the addition of five new ski resorts as its sale deadline approaches.

The popular multi-pass that features independent ski resorts became available to buy again on August 28, 2025 after adding 43 mountains. For those out of the loop, the Indy Pass caps the number of passes it sells to limit crowding at ski resorts. The new ski resorts allowed it to sell more passes.

Now, the last day to buy an Indy Pass is September 18, 2025.

Erik Mogensen, Indy Pass’ managing director, said “We need to safeguard the welcoming and uncrowded on-mountain experience” at its partner ski resorts. “That’s why it’s going off sale Thursday,” he added.

The five new ski resorts—which join the previous 43—are Donner Ski Ranch in California, Kaunertaler Gletscher in Austria, Magic Mountain Resort in Idaho, Leavenworth Ski Hill in Washington, and Kartalkaya Dorukkaya Ski Resort in Turkey.

Montage Mountain in Pennsylvania has also returned to the Indy Pass, for a total of 48 new Indy Pass ski resorts ahead of the 2025-26 season. The Indy Pass offers passholders two days of skiing at each mountain, with 25% lift ticket discounts for the third day.

Donner Ski Ranch is a “classic” Tahoe ski resort with a hometown feel. The snow sticks around to late May, but don’t expect ritzy lodges and fancy food. The “Skranch” is a bastion for independent ski areas in California.

The Indy+ Pass costs $599 for adults and $329 for kids. The Indy Base Pass, which has blackout dates at some ski resorts—busy days during the season when it can’t be used—costs $449 for adults and $299 for kids.

The Indy Pass’ new Learn To Turn program has also expanded with eight more resorts for a total of 39 partner resorts. The $189 bundle includes three days of skiing, lessons, and rentals that can be used at any combination of partnering mountains. It’s meant for first-timers looking for an affordable way to try skiing.

The Indy Pass has announced the end of its License Plate Club promotion, too.

Through the promotion, the Indy Pass gave away almost 500 free 2025-26 passes to skiers and snowboarders across 41 states and provinces who got Indy Pass themed license plates.

“This program exploded way bigger than we expected,” said Mogensen. “The level of dedication and commitment to our cause is evidenced by our amazing passholders, who we truly believe are the best you could ask for.”
